“Hyatt Regency Sofia” Hotel

The hotel stretches on the site of the former Serdika cinema next to the Levski monument in the center of Sofia. The hotel is part of the chain of luxury hotels Hyatt, and in Bulgaria will be presented under the name Hyatt Regency – one of the three most luxurious categories of the chain, which are a total of twelve.

The complete strengthening of the excavation was performed by the company “HIDROINJEKT” LTD, as about 3,000 m² of diaphragm walls with a thickness of 0.60 m and a maximum depth of 17.50 m were built under the protection of bentonite suspension. Waterstop tape was used to form the joints between the walls to achieve maximum watertightness of the built walls. Two rows of anchors were made: 1st row of IBO R32T type anchors with a total length of 1280 m and 2nd row of IBO R38T type anchors with a total length of 1980 m.
